WALT DISNEY "PUZZLE DISCS" DRAWING KIT - 1940s Made in England by Williams, Ellis & Co. Ltd. London "A Welcom Product". 8.5" x 7.5" circular die-cut design with six paper pages. Colorful cover illustrations include images of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Inside front cover has instructions and b&w illustrations of Mickey and Jiminy Cricket. Complete set of six drawing discs have been removed along perforated edge as designed. Each disc has die-cut numbered character body designs. Object was to place the disc on top of paper and draw the body outlines one at a time in numerical order turning the wheel as needed to complete the image. As far as we can decipher, discs feature images of Mickey, Donald, Pluto, and at least one of the Three Little Pigs. An uncommon piece of vintage Disneyana.Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Minor cover penciling, and each puzzle disc has a pin point puncture at center from use. Moderate surface creasing with two 3/16" edge tears on back cover by spine area. No other tears, chips or spine separations.
Overall, we consider this a very displayable example by most standards (see photos). It would make a scarce original WALT DISNEY display for the VINTAGE TOY and/or PUZZLE MEMORABILIA enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated - (7).
